Why is a Raven like a Writing Desk?
We feel that this is the most interesting hermeneutic, not because of its place in the movie, but because of its implications for the real world.
It has often been speculated that Lewis Carroll intended for the question to remain unanswered, as he considered it a perfect analogy for Wonderland: Confounding and mystical, without rhyme or reason:an escape from reality.
Why does Alice's dad seem to recognise Alice's dream?
It is implied that Alice's father is an eccentric man. While it is possible that he is worried about Alice's wellbeing, it is possible that he recognises her dreams. Maybe Wonderland is a place that other people can visit too, and maybe Wonderland can visit our world.
Why does Alice's mother get angry when she realises Alice isn't wearing stockings and a corset?
Stockings, dresses and corsets were the foundation of a proper outfit for a lady at the time. It was expected of mothers that they would impart the wearing of these garments on their daughters.
False claims are made by politicians on a weekly basis.
